Koh Samet... again.

Koh Samet - lovely beaches, water and sand. The island is located on a very convenient distance from Bangkok (2.5h by car + 30 min ferry) making it a perfect starting or ending destination when on longer trips. Unfortunately the island is over exploited, full of trash, pricy and the food in the restaurants adapted to tourist (unless you eat in the village instead).

Chrome Samed

Koh Samed (Samet) - I wouldn't recommend a visit if you want to experience Thailand because it is a very exploited Island. But it is on a convenient distance from Bangkok (2-3 hours by car) if you are in the region.

The sunsets and sunrises can however be magical with chrome like pastel colors.

Koh Samet

Shots from Koh Samet, Thailand. Feb 2017. Koh Samet was the starting point of our 3 month trip in south east Asia. We chose it because we needed a couple of days to chill before heading north. It is also close to Bangkok so we had no problems finding flights northbound. Koh Samet had some nice beaches but the experience was totally wasted by "day tourists" (big groups noisy of tourist travelling by speedboat). Lots of western old men with thai girlfriends too on this island.
